Of note, from 2020 Lowick has supported the Gymnasts for Change campaign – a landmark movement which sought to reform gymnastics following widespread allegations of abuse and misconduct. This campaign was multi-faceted and concerned multiple legal jurisdictions, spanning the UK, United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Lowick provided proactive and reactive media and communications assistance in tandem with legal teams and action groups in support of the project’s goals – principally to publicise the plight of gymnasts involved, and to attain a successful legal outcome to their campaign. As part of a successful international campaign to hold parties responsible for endemic abuse to account, Lowick:

• Led the strategy on communicating the launch of the group and its goals
• Publicised and progressed the key goals of the campaign, particularly in establishing the conversation and leading discourse around the campaign and the actors involved 
• Led the media engagement strategy in response to the Whyte Review publication in the UK, which investigated the reports of abuse in the sport
• Achieved significant media coverage in progression of the campaign’s goals, including numerous print, TV, radio and media appearances for CNN, Sky Sports, BBC Sport, Channel 4 News, ITV News and more – providing media training for the team and for plaintiffs as part of the process
